Jennifer Meckley received a Bachelor’s of Arts degree for dance in 2010 from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. Jennifer choreographed several group pieces for the SRU dance department, however, she enjoyed spending most of her time on stage performing. Some of these performances include works by guest artists, faculty members, and students. Jennifer was lucky enough to work with Natalie Desch, who is a member of Doug Varone and Dancers, performing as a main soloist in their piece “Tomorrow”. At the end of her journey at SRU, she was awarded the “Outstanding Performer” Award for the class of 2010.
Jennifer is currently in her first year of graduate school at Ohio State University where she is going to receive her MFA in dance performance. During her time at OSU she hopes to grow as a performer and expand her knowledge in dance film and technology.
